Everything below the next section is a placeholder naming what a full terms of service will cover, not the terms themselves. No governing law, liability limit or indemnity has been decided, and this page is not a substitute for legal advice to either side.
What you’re supplying
HotMango is software you direct. You supply the material and tell it what to make; it transforms what you gave it. You confirm, for every file you upload: - you own it, or you hold a licence that permits both use AND modification of it, and - you may grant HotMango permission to store, transform and publish it on your behalf. Modification matters specifically. HotMango edits, crops, grades, captions and regenerates. A licence that permits use but not adaptation does not cover what this product does. HotMango does not source material for you and does not verify who owns anything you upload. A file whose rights you have not declared is not used, and is not published. If somebody credibly claims material of yours infringes their rights, the item they name is frozen while it is reviewed. Nothing else about your account changes, and we do not pass your details to them automatically. None of this makes anybody safe from a claim. It records who said what, and when.
Using HotMango
Eligibility, acceptable use and customer content responsibilities. To be drafted.
Membership and credits
Price, renewal, expiry, cancellation and refund rules must be stated plainly once billing exists. There is no paid membership to describe yet.
Publishing and performance
Approval requirements, platform limitations, and no guarantee of reach, engagement or results. To be drafted.
Liability and disputes
Governing law, liability limits, indemnity and dispute resolution are all genuinely undecided — see docs/legal-requirements-DRAFT.md §12 in the repository for the open questions.
